Searching for ideas summer 2005

I came up with this...

I called it my "Joie De Vie"

I love the blinding effect of pastel collors on some people...

How they hate it, how they can't look at it...

as if they were hiding their past trying at any price

to avoide their childhood dreams

I don't understand this fear...

I find their reaction comic really...

My childhood is so precious to me

and these colors brings me back to the smells

the tastes the fantasy world that I used to hide in...

I miss it badly...

what a shame to be a fashion designer at 30 and not at 3...

it would have for sure been much more intresting...

I would have for sure taken myself less seriously...

My next collection is the oposite of this in color

since I'm feeling blue

and not at all in the clouds like the last one...

but I always keep

a litle something from my fantasy world...

can't wait to share it with you...

In Love with the new 

Tord Boontje  'charming'  collection 

that he created for Artecnica,  

nature inspiered jewelry representing 

creatures and flowers.

the collection is in 18k gold and silver plated metal. 

This is what I would have wanted for my birthday...

I am absolutly hypnotised by everything labeled

Boontje... And I have a couple of Boontje Lamps 

and paper cuts at home...

But this is a personal favorite...

I WANT IT NOW...

Day of Light...

Sometimes we forget that there are other prioraties in life,

that things aren't always beautiful, 

for some of us 

they are hardly ever beautiful...

I found this litle short movie on Vimeo...

I know that my blog is about fashion and 

my personal inspiration etc...

but

I'm touched by people like that... 

They go to places that most of us want to pretend 

that they don't see

or they don't even want to admit that 

they exist...

and they bring joy and beauty to those who are less

fortunate then themselves...

it's a couragous act, it's an unselfish act...

the contradiction in my heart working with fashion for 

the love of the art

and on the other hand dealing with 

the superficial and materialistik

world of fashion and all it's bling

makes me feel useless sometimes...

this movie is definitly one of those moments...

Dear Swedish Fashion Stylists...

How hard can it be to get inspired by this???

If I was a swedish stylist in Stockholm I would kill

to get hold of this trensh...

Why are you guys so afraid of using the extraordinary???

How can swedish fashion become an important part

of the fashion map if you guys are afraid

of using strong looks...

Do you first have to see it in international magazines???

Be more daring, all of you keep on complaning on the fact

that there aren't many daring fashion designers in Stockholm

and when you have some doing their job and giving you

luxury you are afraid of doing your own job and using it...

It is indeed easy to use simple pieces and make it look good...

this is a challenge...

so I'm challenging you, do your job so I can continue making mine...

and please stop complaning on Swedish design

there's nothing wrong with it...

You're just not serving it that's all...

For those of you daring to use those hard pieces...

RESPECT.

Using time as a decorating detail... It's an obsession of mine...

I was just thinking how time flys by...

How we keep running to get to a target that

keeps getting closer yet further away from our power

Time is sometimes a friend of mine, some times my most

hated enemy...

I guess everything is relative.

I guess it's not really the watches fault...

I think in time I'll get to the point...

Until then I'll keep running late wishing

to be avant guarde and try tobeat the time with a smile...

In time I'll take time out of time and suspend

the moments in my own private garden.
